Small and medium sized media houses especially radio stations in Tanzania have low level of technological viability according to TMF’s assessment and various studies. They lack technological expertise, digital infrastructure and competent staff. Their online presence is either not active, not professional or totally not there. This threatens their survival in the information age and a threat to citizens who depend on them for information that matter most to their lives. This package is therefore, meant to create a pool of technology experts with interest in media development who can help address viability challenges related to technology and innovation in media houses. After undertaking this package, a consultant will have good understanding of the challenges facing media institutions and will be in a position to help media houses leverage technology and level up their technological viability.
