About This Course
Strong and viable media houses have strong governance and management systems, without these the whole media business faults and quality of content falls, citizens cease to get information that matters to their lives. In East Africa most media houses have weak governance and management systems. This is due to lack of governance and management expertise and other media viability related factors. This package is meant to prepare management experts to help media houses address management challenges through consultancy services. In this package you learn the basic elements of a viable media house in terms of governance and management; the current state of media houses in East Africa, the case of Tanzania; Consultancy processes and tools.
Requirements
- To undertake this package one needs the following;
- 1. Experience of not less than 10 years working in the human resources positions
- 2. Has academic qualification for management and human resources from a reputable institution (degree level and above)
- 3. Has done a number of field related consultancy services
- 4. Has interest in media development work
