Tanzania Media Fund (TMF) is proTMF TRAINING GROUP PHOTOud to have worked with the Thompson Reuters Foundation to support training for journalists on coverage of the 17 proposed sustainable development goals (SDGs) for 2015 to 2030, which will be adopted at the New York UN Summit in September 2015. The training, which started on Monday, June 22 and ended today, Friday, June 26, is being conducted by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in partnership with the UN Foundation.

Tanzania Media Fund (TMF) last week collaborated with Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) to host a critical journalism workshop during the Arusha African Film Festival. The workshop, which TMF funded as part of its efforts to promote learning in the media sector, focused on commercial journalism and posed a critical question on balancing sponsor’s expectations with journalistic ethics and responsibility.

Hivos Tanzania seeks to hire a consultant to produce an engaging and easy to read booklet highlighting the achievements, challenges and lessons learned through the TMF fellowship programme. The consultant will be expected to develop a booklet of not more than 12 pages, including cover page, full layout and design, and illustrated with photographs as guided and provided by TMF.

Due to this being the final year of implementing our 2015-2018 strategic plan, we will focus on finalising work with our eight Content with Transformation grantees and conducting reviews of all the other grants we offered since 2015.
