GRANTS FOR JOURNALISTS AND MEDIA ORGANISATIONS 2010

The Tanzania Media Fund (TMF) invites applications from journalists and media organisations to apply for the 2010 grants.

WHAT’S TMF?

TMF is a fund that aims to promote independence and quality in the media with special emphasis on public interest and investigative journalism. TMF believes that independent media is the lifeblood of a free and democratic society.
It is on this basis that we offer a competitive grant-making facility to individuals and institutions involved in media production (print, television and radio) that would like to pursue media projects of public interest and investigative ones in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.
TMF offers grants on competitive basis, coupled with a Learning Programme to promote quality journalism. This programme enables a journalist to learn by doing under the guidance of seasoned mentors in the media fraternity in Tanzania.
