Tanzania Media Fund (TMF) is proTMF TRAINING GROUP PHOTOud to have worked with the Thompson Reuters Foundation to support training for journalists on coverage of the 17 proposed sustainable development goals (SDGs) for 2015 to 2030, which will be adopted at the New York UN Summit in September 2015. The training, which started on Monday, June 22 and ended today, Friday, June 26, is being conducted by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in partnership with the UN Foundation.

Seven Tanzanian journalists participated in the training, which was mainly facilitated by Royston Martin. The journalists are Maureen Odunga (Daily News), Sei Phillipo (Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation), Joachim Nyambo (Habari Leo), Nassra Khatib (Zanzibar Broadcasting Corporation), Cecylia Ndabigeze (Tumaini Media) ,Peter Elias (Mwananchi) and Raziah Quallatein Mwawanga (TMF).

The training, which also included a limited number of participants from local civil society organisations, is part of a program running in 33 countries to create knowledge and understanding on SDGs reporting among journalists.
