Despite the urge to break news, journalistic principles must always be adhered to. However this has not been the case in the recent days as numerous stories have been noted published with wrong captions, unrelated photos and sometimes videos. With this trend, online media will lose trust and be taken as a hotbed of misinformation and a home of yellow journalism. This training and mentorship programme will therefore aim at introducing journalists to basics and principles of multimedia storytelling to ensure accurate presentation of all the information captured in the visual, audio and textual formats especially in the online sphere.
TMF is therefore desirous to engage a consultant to conduct a multimedia storytelling training to 10 online media journalists and offer a three day online mentorship to the journalists as they produce three multimedia storytelling stories/articles for online publication.
