Towards the end of 2020 and 2021, TMF conducted a fact checking masterclass with online media journalists to build their capacities in information verification through fact checking training and debunking fake news. This year, TMF intends to continue strengthening media houses and journalists’ capacities in the same area hoping that the efforts will lead to reduction of fake stories and rampant misinformation on the online space.
TMF is therefore desirous to engage a consultant to turn the conduct of the fact checking training to 10 online media journalists and offer a three day online mentorship to the journalists as they produce three fact-checking stories/articles for online publication.
